Rose is most well-known for her character Lorrell, Robinson in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born on September 6 7th, 1972) is a singer and American actress. Her most well-known role is as Tiana the Disney's first African American princess, in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legends named her as one of them in 2011. She is also known for her starring role as Lorrell Robinson on the Oscar Award-winning Film Dreamgirls (2006) and for being the character LaVerne Jukebox Ganner in the Starz program Power. Her performance in the theater are also well-known, including her performances as Emmie Thbodeaux in The Broadway show Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actress in the musical. The show also received her nomination for her nomination for Tony Award Best Featured actor in a production of the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun.
