Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. The university is renowned for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also received many international and national prizes. She has worked with many organisations and governments around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are people who are victims of the law. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a fellow of many professional organizations including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
